🎟️ Events & Ticketing

What happens when I join a Free Event?

Your spot is confirmed instantly, and our system automatically adds you to the dedicated Event Group Chat so you can coordinate with the host and other attendees.

How are Paid Event tickets secured?

Once your secure payment is verified, our backend generates a cryptographically signed QR code unique to your device to prevent screenshot fraud at the venue.

Can I cancel my Paid Event ticket and get a refund?

Yes, you can use the 'Unjoin' feature. To receive a refund, you must unjoin at least 2 hours before the event's start time. Cancellations made within 2 hours of the start time, or after the event has started, are strictly non-refundable.

What if the Paid Event is cancelled or fraudulent?

SceneIn protects your purchase. You have a strict 4-hour window after the event concludes to use the 'Report Issue' button. If the event was fake or the host did not deliver, your funds will be protected.

🔄 Marketplace & Resale (External Tickets)

How does Ticket Resale work?

SceneIn allows you to sell spare tickets purchased from other platforms. You upload the original ticket image, and our backend API scans and verifies the document before it is listed for buyers. (Note: We currently only support image file uploads, not PDFs).

Is the Marketplace safe for buyers?

Yes. All resale funds are held securely in the SceneIn Escrow. The seller does not receive the money until the event successfully concludes and your ticket is verified at the venue.

What if my resale ticket is denied at the door?

You must use the 'Report Issue' button within 4 hours of the event's completion. Our team will investigate, and if the ticket was invalid or duplicate, your funds will be returned from Escrow.

💬 Social Connect & Messaging

How do Event Group Chats function?

They are automated. You are granted access the second you secure a ticket or join a free event. The chat is strictly for verified attendees and the host to communicate.

Can I Direct Message (DM) someone?

Yes. Using the 'Social Connect' feature, you can view the public profiles of other verified attendees and send a 1-on-1 direct message to network before the event.

💰 Wallet & Transactions

When do Hosts and Sellers receive payouts?

Earnings show in your Wallet, but funds are locked in Escrow during the event. Once the 4-hour post-event dispute window closes safely, the funds are cleared. Actual bank settlements take T+2 to T+5 business days.

Are my payment details safe?

Yes. SceneIn processes all transactions via bank-grade, RBI-compliant payment gateways. We never store your card numbers, CVV, or UPI PINs on our servers.

📍 Discovery & Profile

How does SceneIn suggest events?

Our discovery engine matches your selected Profile Interests with your real-time, hyper-local radius to show you exactly what is happening in your immediate area.

Who can see my location?

Your exact GPS location is never shared with other users. It is only used securely by our servers to fetch local event data. Your public profile only displays your Username, Photo, and Bio.

🔔 Notifications

Why am I not receiving alerts?

Ensure Push Notifications are enabled in your OS settings. SceneIn uses a centralized system to alert you instantly about ticket verifications, group chat mentions, and direct messages.
